Newsletter September 2010
Dear Parents
Welcome to a new start at Headcorn Primary School. I am delighted to be here and looking forward to the year ahead. It is lovely to see the children coming in so enthusiastically and they have all started well.
In order that the children can be in class, ready to start learning at 9.00, we will ring the bell each morning at the slightly earlier time of 8.50.
There will be an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and to find out how they have settled into their new class on either Tuesday 28th or Wednesday 29th September. We will be sending out a letter about this next week, with a reply slip for you to arrange an appointment.
We are developing our ideas about an “open assembly” at which all parents will be welcome and which will be on Friday afternoons (to replace the celebration assembly which used to take place on Monday afternoons). Please bear with us
and we will let you know when these are ready to start.
Thank you to all those who have signed up for ParentMail. This is an environmentally friendly and efficient way for us to contact you. If you would like to register for ParentMail, please contact Mrs Scrace at the school.
This will be the last time we send a paper copy of the school newsletter to all of those who have registered, so please remember to check your e-mails!
I look forward to meeting you in the coming weeks.
Yours sincerely
Julie Barker
Head Teacher
