School Lunches IMPORTANT NEWS!
Healthy School Lunches November and December 2008
CDC has now been providing the children with meals since the beginning of this term. We hope that those of you who have tried the meals on offer have been pleased with the quality provided. Kim Phipps has continued to cook our meals under CDC management and we are therefore enjoying the same high quality that Kim has always given to the school. The menus are planned on a termly basis and, wherever possible, fresh foods are locally sourced. All menus are fully nutritionally analysed.
As the menus are cooked using fresh perishable foods CDC are unable to offer day payments or day credits. As a school we took the decision to be a little flexible over this arrangement for Term 1, however from the beginning of Term 2 we will be enforcing this rule. You must therefore book and pay for your child’s meals in advance. The booking deadline for November will be this Friday, 24th October and for December it will be Friday 28th November. This will allow CDC to plan exactly for the number of meals ordered in advance, which will ensure that no child will go without one of the daily choices. It will also help to keep wastage to a minimum, resulting in the price of a school lunch being kept as low as possible, thus benefiting all parents.
